Call for Abstract

Despite the global sanitary crisis, we want to maintain the holding of the 5th Technical Workshop on Fuel Cycle Simulation (TWoFCS 2021).  Thus, we have decided to organize it 100% remotely

TWoFCS 2021 sessions will be organized from MondayJune 28th to Friday, July 2nd, 2021 to take into account the different time zones.

To allow participants interested in a remote event to submit a contribution, the call for abstract is extended. Participants willing to present an oral contribution should submit an abstract with a maximum of 400 words before March 22th, 2021, linked to the following topics:

· Fuel cycle simulation tools and physical models
· Nuclear fuel cycle scenario studies
· Energy transition scenario studies (including nuclear and other energy types)
· Exploratory analysis (optimization, uncertainty, resilience / robustness, etc.)
· Benchmarks and validation
· Interdisciplinary studies (economics and sociology for nuclear fuel cycles and scenarios)
· Renewables and nuclear energy modeling considerations (load following, energy storage, hybrid systems, etc.)

Abstracts must be submitted as pdf files at https://fcw2020.sciencesconf.org/Abstract acceptance will be notified before April 7th, 2021.

In addition to the call for oral presentations, this year edition of TWoFCS welcomes the submission of full-length technical papers (4 to 15 pages) in a Topical Issue of EPJN.

The official  call for paper can be found on EPJN website: https://www.epj-n.org/component/content/article/11-news/271-call-for-papers-epj-n-topical-issue-on-fuel-cycle-simulation

Additional information can be found on the workshop website: https://fcw2020.sciencesconf.org/.

Presenters and non-presenting participants are invited to register for free on the website.

No payment is required to attend or present but registration is mandatory.

Looking forward to seeing you remotely,

 The TWoFCS 2021 organizing committee.
